How To Build An Auto Responder

by Terry Warner My Leads Call Me

When people visit your web site and sign up for an offer or an opportunity, you will need an auto responder to stay in contact with them.

So how do I pick and operate an auto responder?

There are several auto responders available for a monthly fee. Your opportunity may let you use an auto responder but if the emails don’t specifically have your personal information on it, the traffic and customers that it brings in is bypassing you and going to someone else.

This article is not intended to recommend any specific auto responder company as they all have their good and bad points.

However, your auto responder must have some organization in order for it to be effective.

  1. The auto responder must be able to build you a capture page.
  2. The auto responder must have a double opt in option. In other words, the person signing up must be totally aware of what they are signing up for and they want to receive your emails.
  3. You should introduce yourself in your first email and explain the benefits of joining your team.
  4. Every email must have an unsubscribe option, usually at the bottom of the email. As a personal note, I don’t ask why they are unsubscribing. If they want to leave, I don’t ask them why. When I cancel something on the phone, the support clerk reads off an eight hundred number in case we are dissatisfied. If I wasn’t dissatisfied, I wouldn’t be canceling.
  5. Your first four emails must be meaningful information because you are positioning yourself to be the problem and pain solver they are looking for.
  6. In your fifth email, continue to provide valuable information and at the bottom, slip in an offer they might be interested in.
  7. Continue to provide meaningful information and success stories for the next several emails. Do not continually insert offers. They are subscribing to your emails to be informed and kept current on your particular niche. They will sign up or contact you when they are ready to sign up.
  8. On email number ten, insert a quick survey of no more than four questions. Use this survey to determine what they are looking for and like or don’t like. Take this information and write more emails addressing their concerns.
  9. Take the time to read their survey answers and adjust your emails to meet their needs.
  10. Keep sending informative emails without blatantly promoting your offers.
  11. Toward the end of the month, you can make your emails a little more persuasive in an effort to lure them into your opportunity.
  12. Last, if a person doesn’t want to sign up, let them go. Not everyone is going to work out well for your team. Learn to discern and move on.

An auto responder is not an easy thing to build. If you can find an opportunity that lets you build the list and keep the list for yourself, this is a big plus in your favor.

Always remember, someone, somewhere, is building an auto responder because the money in networking is condensed down to one major point.
