The phrase ‘Practice makes a man perfect’ applies very well here. Practice drawing, sketching, sewing, draping for long hours. Refine your knowledge of fabrics, patterns, silhouettes, and trends. Develop an eye for color and texture and an ability to visualize concepts in three dimensions. And do not forget it’s the digital age, while you can have a journal where you jot down your ideas and drawings you will need to learn and master all the software like Photoshop and Corel Draw.
