It’s very possible you will never get a return on SEO, it depends on many many things but the first and most important is choosing a SEO partner and strategy that is effective. Why do I say that?

Well it’s a loaded question but let’s deal with the elephant in the room first. Dud’s, cheats, scams, bad, black hat, useless whatever you want to call them the SEO industry has a lot of highly skilled, honest and professional experts. Lack of understanding by clients, lack of accountability, lack of regulation, panic relatively high rewards and more have all contributed to attract a large number of “experts” charlatans that make false promises.

About 70% of our clients have previously had an Local SEO service USA that didn’t deliver the results they wanted, the many of them lost money. There are lots of reasons why this happens, usually they believe the hype and believe that a mythical magic bullet will deliver a top ranking position in no time for a few dollars, it’s a myth. Common sense says it doesn’t make any sense -there are millions upon millions of sites, search engines like Google are multi billion dollar businesses that employ thousands of bright people who are continually evolving the search algorithm , their business model rests upon their ability to deliver useful relevant information to users. The idea that you can game that with a $25 purchase of thousands of spammy links and other link building schemes is delusional. Websites and emails based on these black hat SEO techniques are everywhere. Equally there is no need to overspend either, we offer affordable premium SEO that works.

Another reason can be that the website owner invested in good SEO initially but failed to stay the course, or perhaps grew impatient and did something to incur a penalty. SEO is a long term investment you should expect it to take at least 3 months to start seeing results, owners not prepared for this often jump ship before they can realistically expect to see results, the false promises of black hat SEO can only exacerbate this. With SEO you should be prepared for it to take some time before results are seen, and then be ready for dips and fluctuations but if you hold your course overtime the trend will improve. SEO has been likened to stock market investment in that sense.

Finally there’s the outliers; there’s no return because it’s a non-profit or your loss leading by design or business model error, but we can safely ignore them.
