Hanoi's Skyscraper and the Tallest Building in Vietnam
Hanoi's skyscraper Keangnam houses inside
70 floors (4 underground levels) and on the top, a heliport. This tower
occupies an area of 579,000 m2. The total investment exceeds a billion
dollars. This building will be the future headquarters in Vietnam of the South
Korean company Vin Keangnam. Before it was planned to be completed in 2011, but
it’s quite difficult to finish since it requires more manpower and certain
industrial accidents happened during its construction. But, it didn’t hinder
the owner to continue the construction despite of loss of some people to
proceed to its finale features.
One of the most talked accidents is in July
2009, when workers died after falling from a considerable height. In February
2011, other two people lost their lives on the same reason. Then a fire came
destroying the whole 2nd floor of the building on May and on the
same year of October, a falling debris fell from the ground, bringing large
number of injured passer by walking in the lobby area.

highest building, this project aims to habitat friendly and convenient, near

As of today, Qatar Investment Authority
acquired Keangnam Landmark 72 tower for a tantamount price of US$800 million
deal. The Korea Herald said the creditors of the building, including five banks
and ten savings banks in South Korea, have also reportedly agreed to open negotiations
no later than July and this successful talk makes it affirmative.
