The Montgolfier Balloon

Named after the original inventor, the Montgolfier Balloon is the foremost and popular kind of hot air balloon usually used in an event or festivals. This Montgolfier Balloon over the course of a couple years, have developed a hot air balloon very similar in design to the ones used today. But instead of using propane, they powered their model by burning straw, manure and other material in an attached fire pit to avoid burning the entire balloon while on flight. There are still some cases that the balloon happened to get burned while on flight, but the hot air balloon operator is on the look for that possible incident. Like the balloons in Bagan where the thousands of it can be seen and a really nice attraction that you will treasure the most.

The Rozière Balloon

The Montgolfier Brothers are the inventor of the hot air balloon, but it wasn’t as perfect as it can only last for more than 20 minutes and can only carry less than 3 to 4 people inside the basket. The people are more inclined to try it and the production of the hot air balloon boomed. Little the brother knows, Pilatre de Rozier had a great idea of putting a flame to powder and came to grief so spectacularly while trying to cross the Channel in Paris, believed that a combination of gas-and-hot-air balloon was a natural choice for long-distance flying. Once its flammable hydrogen could be replaced with helium - a safer, non-flammable gas that was almost as light - the roziere became famous and the flight takes longer with circumnavigating the earth using the roziere balloon.

Hot Air Airships

In simple terms, a thermal airship is a hot-air balloon that is shaped to resemble a slightly fatter version of the usual hot-air balloon we see in an event or festivals. The primary difference is that it is inflated with low cost hot-air rather than expensive helium.

Beneath the envelope - the bag that holds the hot-air is a streamlined tubular space-frame gondola that carries (depending on the model) up to four people, has propane powdered burners tow arm the air and a propulsion engine which drives a propeller to move the craft forward. A thermal airship is usually used by advertisers for promotional purposes. It is somehow compared to billboard but the beauty of it is, it can be seen by thousands of people and it is really amazing to watch from its flight platforms, excellent mobile observation posts, cost-effective flying laboratories for atmospheric sampling.
