The best way to get the most out of hybrid dogs is to have good understanding of the parent breed because the hybrid is going to manifest traces of either or both parent breeds and this is not going to be any different for the goberian.

The golden retriever husky mix is a very playful, sociable, affectionate, loving dog with a high level of energy. This means that they will need a lot of space to play and plenty of human interaction. The areas where the most attention will be required are the diet and the training for goberian.

Without proper training you should not be surprise if you end up with an unfriendly and aggressive dog that is difficult to handle bearing in mind that the goberian has the husky genes in him. So if the temperament of the Siberian husky appear to be dominant in the areas of training then it will require more effort to have a well trained goberian compared with the much easier to train temperament of the golden retriever.

The other aspect that will require just as much attention as training for the goberian is the diet. This dog is prone to obesity which means that it is more likely to keep eating for as long as food is made available for it. This tendency to over eat and become over weight is picked from the golden retriever parent and not from the Siberian husky that are known to survive on small amount of food.

These points show that a good understand of the goberian will require some good understanding of the golden retriever and the Siberian husky because cross breed designer dogs are still relatively new in the dog world and for that reason there are not yet well studied and well documented “how to” for these cross breeds.

The most important question you have to ask yourself is if you are willing to put in the extra effort and perhaps investment for the acquisition of the goberian or indeed any hybrid.
