by Mitun Mukherjee Milkio food product

Ghee or clarified is obtained from pure cow milk and can be used for cooking. Ghee cholesterol count is a debated topic. High cholesterol count is a common issue nowadays. You can easily use it for frying since it doesn't easily burn. It is best to use grass-fed ghee for cooking because it is a healthy fat, as well as contains vitamins A, D, K and E. Humans have two types of cholesterol in the body, one is HDL and LDL.

Ghee is very versatile and it works wonderfully as a cooking agent. It is better suited to cooking raw foods such as vegetables and fruits. LDL is the bad cholesterol while HDL is the good cholesterol. Ghee helps in maintaining the HDL count and reducing the LDL count.

Ghee cholesterol should not be a matter of concern. One of the most enjoyable things about ghee is that it helps in weight loss in a healthier way. You need not to fast yourself. Just maintain a proper diet, take adequate sleep, and do some exercise. Since ghee has a high smoke point, you will notice a difference in the flavor when cooking with it. Ghee calories are higher than butter and so it should be taken in moderation.
