Ghanshyam Sarda sets on clean city Dream project

A clean city drive campaign has been organized in the city of Kolkata recently. With the initiative of the Lions Club International Clean City Dream City project, the city is looking forward to a massive garbage clean up campaign. The campaign which has been planned in the city revolves around a variety of plan of action. A variety of methods will be implemented to keep the city free from garbage and pollution.  As per the campaign which has been launched recently, the entire image of the state will undergo a transformation with such a project. 

The Lions Club International has a very strong entity and consists of 60 clubs from across the city. It is one of the most renowned socially active organizations from the city. The total membership strength of the Lions Club International project has touched the 2,500 mark.  In the city of Kolkata itself more than 5,732 tonnes of waste is produced at a regular basis. 

This waste needs to be dumped in order to keep the city clean from pollution. With the initiative of the members from the group, the project has taken shape in a very big way. Ghanshyam Sarda is one of the leading industrialists from the city of Kolkata and acts as a very active part of the clean city drive campaign. He is a prominent social activist and has organized various important events in the city from time to time. 

The project will start with small initiatives and gradually progress from each ward in the city. Trash bins will be put up at each of the wards where the citizens can throw the waste materials. As one of the pioneer business establishments from the city, the Ghanshyam Sarda Kolkata group always loves to be involved in such events. The city will certainly breathe a fresh lease of life with such projects in place.  As per a recent study which has been conducted by the South East Asian Forum for Environment, among the 5,732 tonnes of waste which is produced more than 700 tonnes is recycled. The remaining waste is put off at the dumping ground in Dhapa. 

A very active social media campaign has also been launched as a part of the project. Constant updates on Facebook and Twitter have been provided to make this project a success. Already organizations like Pariwar and FACES have become a part of this project.
