Ghanshyam Sarda participates in clean city drive

Ghanshyam Sarda is one of the most prolific business leaders from the city of Kolkata.  He is an active part of the clean city dream city campaign. 

A clean city drive campaign will start in the city of Kolkata shortly. Kolkata is also known as the City of Joy and needs to be free from pollution and dirt. With the initiative of the Lions Club International, the city is gearing up for a much awaited garbage clean up campaign.

 The Lions Club International has taken various steps in the city and comes up with important events from one period of time to the other.  A variety of important personalities from the city is a part of the project and wants to devote their valuable time in it.

Ghanshyam Sarda is one of the most important business entities from the city of Kolkata. Over the years, he has invested in several jute mill projects. He is also a very active socialite and loves to participate in various activities throughout the city. The multi crore Sarda group is one of the highly recognized business groups in the city. 

When industrialist Mr. Sarda actively focuses on an event, the entire focus and attention of the media turns on it. The Lions Club International Project has 60 club affiliate members from different parts of the city.  Spanning across the city, the Lions Club International has around 2,500 members in its list.  In the city of Kolkata itself, more than 5,732 tonnes of regular waste is produced on a regular basis.  It is very important to keep the city clean and free from all kinds of waste and impurities. 

As per the members of the Lions Club International, the entire project will start  from a ward each and gradually reach grand proportions. All the members are quite keyed up about the project and wants to keep it clean in  every way.

As per a recent study which has been conducted by SAFE, the Clean City Dream City Project has brought out a few important statistics.  Among the 5,732 tonnes of waste which is generated only 700 tonnes is recycled on a regular basis. The remaining part of the waste is thrown out in the Dhapa dump area. 

The members of the Ghanshyam Sarda Kolkata group are also a very active part of the clean city drive project. Just putting trash bins in some of the areas of the city would not solve the problem.  The awareness should be made in such a way that it strikes the minds of the citizens. Already a massive  digital media campaign has been launched for the project. The campaigns are being actively followed in sites  like Twitter and Facebook.
