But with these fixes, you can say hello to deeply nourished skin in no time! To achieve the perfect radiant glow, along with getting a good eight-hour sleep; exercising regularly and drinking tons of water, we need to treat our skin to nature’s gifts.

Which drinks can give you glowing skin?

Vitamin C is one such element that can be found in any skin related product that does its job right, from drugstore, to high-end and even natural brands swear by ingredients rich in vitamin C to help their consumers achieve glowing skin. But why go the chemical route at all when simply drinking organic juices can do the job for you? Here is a list of drinks that can give your skin a glow from within.

Orange Juice

Orange Juice

Vitamin C is a potent antioxidant that protects cells and keeps the body healthy. It also plays a vital role to boost the production of collagen level in the skin and fight acne marks. Drinking fresh orange juice can give you a sufficient dose for Vitamin C as per your daily dietary requirements.

Known to fight radical activity and anti-ageing properties of Vitamin C in it, orange juice works wonders for your skin, hair as well as immunity. Oranges are known to fight aging and wrinkly skin and thus a preferred ingredient across skincare products and brands.

Consuming orange juice everyday not only keeps your skin glistening but also helps in keeping your body healthy. Why stop at consuming when you can apply the juice to your skin too? Applying unprocessed orange juice on your skin for two to three minutes can help close open pores easily.

Triphala Juice

Triphala Juice

Triphala literally translates to three fruits — Haritaki (Terminalia Chebula), Bibhitaki (Terminalia Bellirica), and Amla (Emblica Officinalis).

Consuming this juice regularly purifies your blood and enhances collagen production. It also has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties to improve your body from within. Ultimately, with all these properties, this juice can help greatly in achieving clear skin.

Put together three tablespoons of coconut oil and Triphala juice, and apply it fifteen minutes before your shower.

Sandalwood oil

Sandalwood oil

Not only is sandalwood naturally derived oil that has a heavenly fragrance but also does it carry many health benefits. Sandalwood oil works like magic on acne, dark spots, dark circles and even helps in getting rid of a tan. The cooling properties of the oil help relax your skin, and get rid of any redness you get because of the harsh sunlight. Nature’s favorite astringent protects your skin from breaking out and tightens open pores on your skin’s surface.

To remove dark spots before a big day, simply mix in one tablespoon of sandalwood powder along with coconut oil and leave it on overnight. Repeat this everyday and watch your blemishes disappear.

We know how hard it is to make oily skin behave, and thus we suggest adding a few drops of rose water to sandalwood powder and leaving it on your face for half an hour before washing it off with cold water.

Turmeric

Turmeric

Everyone has attended a ‘haldi’ ceremony in their life and heard our aunts tell us how the bride will glow once the bath is done with. And if brides swear by it before their wedding day, we can place our bets high on this one’s results!

It’s no hidden secret that turmeric has anti-bacterial properties, and thus applying it helps cure acne as well as fights the redness that comes along with it. Turmeric eases the irritability of the skin by fighting the bacteria and also removing excess oil from the skin.

Turmeric is also known to help dull looking skin turn bright by fighting tan in minutes. Simply prepare a mixture of lemon juice, raw milk and a pinch of turmeric and apply it over your face and body for half an hour before washing it off with cold water to restore your skin’s glow.

Honey

Honey

We don’t have to say much when it comes to honey. It’s any girl’s best friend. A tablespoon of raw organic honey can cleanse your pores, get rid of blackheads as well as act as an antiseptic.

Honey is also a great humectant-a hygroscopic substance which can help you keep your skin moist and healthy. Artificial exfoliators can be harsh on your skin, at times resulting in rashes, thus swearing by honey to gently exfoliate your skin is your best bet. You can make your go-to exfoliator by mixing together two spoons of raw organic honey with one spoon of baking soda.

Mix one tablespoon of raw organic honey with half a squeezed lemon in a bowl and apply to your face. Using this remedy for fifteen to thirty minutes everyday will help your skin get a blinding glow.

As an added benefit, consuming neem capsules can fulfill your body’s nutritional needs, as well as keep your hair healthy, happy and strong.

The zinc present in bananas helps in fighting as well as preventing acne. You can also use the combination of banana and honey as a great hair mask to control dandruff and moisturise the scalp.

It’s quite simple, start by mashing up a banana in a bowl and apply it to your skin, let it sit for fifteen minutes and follow by rinsing your face with cold water. Doing this will help you achieve plump skin instantly.

Aloe Vera Gel

Aloe Vera Gel

An Aloe Vera plant can be found almost in any home and people across the world have sworn by it for its skin benefits for ages. A medicinal plant — it nourishes your body inside out. Aloe Vera is nutritious, healthy and has multi-layered benefits for individuals. Whether it’s your hair, skin or digestion — Aloe Vera has got your back.
