Get Admission in an Internationally Reputed Entrepreneurship Development Programme

Entrepreneurship Development Programme refers to the process to produce entrepreneurs and improve their entrepreneurial skills & knowledge to make them capable of using business opportunities through education, structured trainings and hands on experience. The programme helps the nascent entrepreneurs to attain the technical skills and strengthentheir motivation in realisingtheir capabilities to launch and run their own ventures. The programme helps the aspiring entrepreneurs to identify their skills and design innovative business opportunities while keeping in mind the associated challenges and regional environments/conditions/constraints.  
The main goal of Entrepreneurship Development Programme is to expand the base of entrepreneurs to accelerate the creation and development of new ventures which in turn increases the employment opportunities for a common man and helps in the economic development of the nation.

A number of initiatives are being taken by the center and state governments under Entrepreneurship Development Programmeto encourage the budding entrepreneurs to establish and run their start-ups successfully.Government is issuing guidelines and policies to make Innovation and Startup as the primary focus of higher education system. It will enable institutions to support their faculty, staff and students to participate in entrepreneurship and start-up activities and make these as the career options.

Himachal Pradesh Government has launched a start-up policy in November, 2016. Under this policy, various incubation centres are established in the state under Chief Minister’s Startup/Innovation Projects/New Industries Scheme. It includes different types of incentives and support to the start-ups to develop entrepreneurs.
Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT), Waknaghat, Solanhas been established as one of the incubation centreswith the name “Technology and Incubation Entrepreneurship Development Cell (TIEDC)”. It is supported by the department of Industries, Himachal Pradesh. It provides technological guidance, mentoring, incubators, financial support and many other facilities to the budding entrepreneurs.

TIEDC works to harness the talents and research strengths available in different Engineering disciplines and apply the same to socially relevant projects in the form of start-up ventures.Its goal is to provide an Entrepreneurial eco-system which helps the youth to contribute towards job creation and market expansion. Further, it helps them to exploit their technical skills and innovative ideas to become the job creators rather than job seekers. It focuses on conducting hackathons, e-summits, boot camps, workshops, motivational stories of entrepreneurs and various other activities. It also helps the budding entrepreneurs to obtain managerial skills and association with financial organizations to run their start-ups. 

TIEDC, JUIT has a well-planned space where entrepreneurs can spend time for ideation, carry out meeting with their mentors and for other networking purposes, organizing small boot camps, video conferencing etc. It provides various other facilities like servers, desktops, WiFi, printing in the incubation centre. Hands on experience is facilitated to the incubators for developing and testing their products and prototypes.
