1.       Chamomile

You must have heard about chamomile tea is really popular among people who have trouble falling asleep, right? Well, there is a reason for that! Chamomile is essentially an herb that has calming properties and also helps ease anxiety to a large extent.

Since chamomile contains many antioxidants that help reduce inflammation, there is a huge possibility that it also collaterally affects the occurrence of anxiety in most people! When studies were carried out to test the effect chamomile had on people suffering from generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), it was found that on consumption of chamomile, the symptoms of anxiety reduced to a great degree!

2.       Dark Chocolate:

Yes, we recommend dark chocolate! Can there, literally be anything better? Well, you deserve it! With all the stress you must be facing, we understand that even a small cube of dark chocolate can make things so much better!

Since dark chocolate contains flavonols that are essentially antioxidants that benefit brain function, by improving the blood flow to the brain, your brain becomes more adept at adjusting to stressful situations. Other than this, it has also been proven that dark chocolate also helps increase the level of neurotransmitter serotonin in one’s body, which too helps in reducing the stress the eventually ends up leading to anxiety!

3.       Salmon:

For a number of years, the health benefits of salmon have been doing the rounds! There literally is nothing that this amazing piece of fish cannot do! So are you really surprised to find it on this list? We thought not!

Salmon is chock-full of nutrients Vitamin D, Omega-3 fatty acids, EPA and DHA which too are brilliant at promoting brain health! EPA and DHA, in particular, have been known to regulate the neurotransmitters, serotonin and dopamine both of which have a calming and relaxing effect on your body! We are not telling you to eat salmon every day since that does not seem to be too feasible for everyone, but by merely having 3-5 servings of salmon in a week, you could easily keep anxiety at bay, quite effectively.

The right kind of foods can truly prove to be medicines for any health issue you might be suffering from, but before you decide to consume any food, remember always to consult your doctor!
