So, when fingerpicking guitar is it best to use the flesh of your thumb to pluck the strings or a thumb pick?


There is no definitive answer to this question, however if you shy away from the thumb pick just because it feels uncomfortable, this would be a mistake and possibly a missed opportunity.


It is largely up to the individual whether or not to use a thumb pick.
