Enjoy A Sweet Vegan Christmas

by Vegan Culinary Cruises Luxury – All Inclusive – All Vegan
While you can’t spend the holidays luxuriating on European vegan cruises because of the present pandemic, there are still so many ways to make this Christmas season special. One great thing we can suggest to help you enjoy a fantastic break is with noshing on all the delectable vegan desserts you can think of!

Not sure where to begin? We’ve got some recipe ideas to help you get started.

Mince Pie

Although mince pie is already traditionally vegetarian friendly due to its consisting only of pastry and spiced dried fruit, for vegans, it may not be as diet-friendly. Since we cannot always be sure that the pastry was made with a vegan-approved fat and not butter, not to mention that the alcohol used to soak the fruit is ethically-sourced, you might as well prepare it yourself!

BBC Good Food’s recipe for this popular English holiday treat checks off all the important things on the list: vegan, easy, and super delicious! Check out the recipe here (Note: you might want to get started right away!)

Bûche de Noël

Bûche de Noël or the Yule Log cake is a traditional Christmas dessert in France. It’s well-liked for its lightness and chocolate flavor, however, conventional recipes typically call for a good amount of egg whites in the batter. Thanks to a lot of creative vegan chefs around the world, though, you can slice off a piece of Yuletide goodness on Christmas - completely vegan.

VEGAN CHOCOLATE YULE LOG

This fantastic recipe for Vegan Chocolate Yule Log from the blog Crumbs and Caramel makes sure that you get that same festive French dessert without compromising your vegan lifestyle.

Stollen

If you’re a fan of fruit cake you might enjoy its lighter German cousin - Stollen! More of a bread than a cake, it makes a great breakfast or snack time treat for the holidays, with an assortment of dried fruits, nuts, and marzipan or almond paste swirled into it.

Stollen

In the old days, Stollen is made with lots of eggs, milk, and butter, but don’t worry about it. You can still enjoy a loaf of Stollen the vegan way with ingenious recipes by vegan cooks such as this one here

We hope this list of recipes adds a touch of fun and festivity to your celebration at home this year. Just a bit more patience, and we’ll be able to have great excursions at different vegan national parks again, until then, time to get baking in your kitchen!
