Dress Not to Impress, Dressing Guide by Fashionista ‘Samantina Zenon’

“Personality Development assists in the general development of a person. A person’s style of dressing is essentially vital to growing your personality. “It is said that a man is known by his dress and address for a legit reason as a person’s dressing sense says a lot of his personality and character,” says Samantina Zenon.

Samantina Zenon is a style icon who managed to bloom amid all the criticism she had to face for being a woman of color. Haitian-American talent Samantina Zenon traveled from Boston to New York because she desired to be a model. At first, being told that her look was too different to fit into the usual scope of modeling,  Zenon embarked on a journey of pursuing her dream. In fact, she has modeled for copious brand ad campaigns, including Digicel Wireless, SC Johnson, and Lancôme.

Zenon hasn’t settled there, though. She’s also become a well-known actress, video producer, and social media influencer. Her very first acting debut happened in 2009 at Long Island University Theatre Production as Feste in Shakespeare’s ‘Twelfth Night’. Some of her most prized roles were in productions such as ‘The Face In The Wall’, ‘Ghost Source Zero’, ‘Grier’, ‘Riddled’, ‘Dr. Faustus’, ‘Zooman and The Sign’, and ‘This Is America’.

Samantina is also treasured as a content creator and has collaborated with reputed beauty and fashion brands, such as Ferragamo, Bite Beauty, Yves Saint Laurent, Givenchy, and many more. “I love fashion; I love when I wear an outfit that screams, I have arrived,” says Samantina.

“You truly need to be mindful of what you are wearing. Try not to wear something only because it is in, and you desperately need to jump on to the bandwagon. See if the dress would look great on you or not? One should be very cautious about his/her body type, built, weight, composition, nature of work, and even atmosphere and temperature while choosing garments,” advises Zenon.

Dress as per the event. One needs to look perfect for a fabulous personality. Garments reflect your identity, how you feel right instantly, and at times it portrays our mindset.

Continuously remember whatever you wear it must mirror the genuine you. Your dressing sense reflects your character, personality, state of mind, style, and what you really are. “Individuals wearing gaudy garments with loud makeup are, for the most part, social butterflies and love the life of the party. You truly can make out what kinda person an individual is by his/her dressing. Dull hues demonstrate that an individual is vexed while brilliant hues mirror your upbeat perspective and establish your felicitous aura,” says Samantina Zenon.

Match a basic white shirt with dark pants to get that that professional and exquisite look at work. While going on a date, a little black dress with a wine lip shade would make you alluring. Everything depends on when you are wearing a specific outfit, the occasion, the person you will meet, and how you want to define your personality.

Indeed, the manner in which you dress showcase your character. Keep in mind; apt dressing has nothing to do with cost. A costly dress probably won’t look great on you. Before venturing out, ask yourself “Is the dress looking great on me?”, “Am I dressed according to the event, etc.

Samantina Zenon advises never to wear tight fitting or body embracing garments just to impress people. Be specific about the fit of the dress. An individual on the heavier side of the typical weight would look slimmer in a long dark outfit while a lean individual would look great in puff sleeves and flare dresses.

“Ensure whatever you are wearing is flawless and clean. Don’t simply pull out garments from your closet and wear them. Garments must be appropriately pressed,” says Samantina Zenon.

Samantina Zenon also advises girls to focus on shoes and footwear, as most young ladies tend to neglect this part of the dressing. “Remember, your shoes are the first bit of dressing to be noticed by people. The elegant your shoes, the better your personality shines,” she says.

Lastly, Samantina Zenon advises wearing dresses and footwear you are comfortable in. She stresses that girls must not compromise their comfort to impress others. Yet, your dressing sense and style must be unique to you, distinguishing you from the others around you, bringing all the glances on you, setting you as a showstopper. “Girls, you gotta get comfortable in your skin. As only then can you flaunt the confidence. And, even a basic tee wore with a jean, when carried with confidence, makes you sexy as hell. Revealing clothing ain’t appealing; it is the confidence that makes you dazzling. Never dress to impress,” says Samantina Zenon.
