Wedding-Checklist

Now that you’re already engaged, what’s next? Is it going to happen this year, or next year? After the excitement and happiness simmer down, pressure will start to sink in as you go into the littlest detail of planning your big day.

Before you book your wedding in one of the famous resorts at Boracay beach, do the following first:

Tell your family (that is if they are not aware about your engagement)

Was the proposal planned? Or were you just surprised? Anyway, if it happened unexpectedly, most probably, your family and friends are not aware of it. Announce it to them proudly, and ask for your parents blessings. Momentous events like these should be shared with the people that we love.

Choose your wedding date

Is it going to happen anytime soon? Or do you want to take your time preparing for the wedding of the year? Wedding date should be decided jointly, unless your soon-to-be husband will give you all the freedom to decide.  Before choosing a date, keep in mind the location of your wedding-- will it be indoor or outdoor setting? If you want an outdoor setting, better set your wedding date on Summer, December is also a good choice. And for Indoors, you can choose the rest of the remaining months.

Set your budget

Have you saved enough for your wedding day? Let’s say that both of you did, still, don’t consider spending all of it on your big day.  Since everything changes from time to time, be practical enough to have spare for your own family.  Dreaming of a grandiose wedding is normal, and making it a reality sounds even better. But if you can’t afford, then just opt for a simpler one. As long as your love for each other is genuine, then however you celebrate your wedding will become memorable.

Start planning the guest list

Are you going for the traditional setup? Entourage can be flexible, and it’s up to how many close friends you would want to join you walking down the aisle. And for the guests,  it’s okay to make an estimate, but it’s much ideal to have an exact total number. Why? This is to ensure that you will not exceed your budget limit - food, chair and tables, invitations, souvenirs,  and the like. If your schedule permits, contact your guests, and invite them personally for a faster response.

As much as you are excited for this inspiring event, keep calm and stay focused. Always update your wedding checklist to know if you’re missing anything.
