DJI Releases New Firmware Updates for Phantom Series

Numerous quadcopters were launched in 2015, including the 3DR solo, DJI Phantom 3, etc. And 2016 will also bring multifarious well-equipped drones, including GoPro Karma, Phantom 4 and Parrot fixed-wing craft.

If you are waiting for any new update from DJI Phantom series, then there is a good news for you. DJI Phantom drones release its new firmware updates. You can easily check out the new updates by downloading the product pages of Phantom 3 Professional and Phantom 3 Advanced and update your firmware. If you want any updates of Phantom 4, Phantom 3 4K and Phantom 3 Standard, please update via the DJI GO app.

The Phantom 4 firmware number is updated to v1.0.0288, a new firmware number (v1.7.0060) is updated for the Phantom professional 3 and Phantom 3 Advanced, firmware number (v1.3,20) is the updated version for Phantom 3 4K and last but not least the phantom 3 standard firmware version is updated to v1.4.60.

V2.7.0 is the updated version for both DJI GO app iOS version and Android version. Now let's have a look what DJI brings to you this year.

For the Phantom 4:
The DJI Phantom 4 is the smartest flying camera drone, this is the best drone to track your subject. For the Phantom Professional 3 and Phantom Advanced:
DJI Phantom 3 Professional or Advanced offers an affordable entry-level for hobbyists. For most, non-professional users, the Standard drone may offer enough. But maybe there are some others who need slightly more options. So Phantom released this Professional 3 and Phantom Advanced.

  • Improved compass accuracy
  • Optimized waypoint feature
  • Fixed issue of image being corrupted in rare occasion
  • Added 2.7K resolution for video recording

For the Phantom 4K and Phantom 3 Standard:
DJI finally launched a better camera on a cheaper drone by adding a new model to the Phantom 3 range. If you want to enjoy the 4K resolution, even on a tighter budget, then Phantom 3 4K is perfect DJI drone quadcopter for you where you can use Wi-Fi instead of LightBridge system which is very expensive.
