De Gea Out for Manchester United
According to
latest news coming from the Manchester United Rep, star goalkeeper David de Gea
will be out for one week and will not be available for their next Europa League
fixture against FC Midtjyland.
He didn’t
played FA Cup fixture on last Monday as he injured his knee in the practice at
MCH Arena, although United even without his presence defeated Shrewsbury and
booked their places in the next round of FA Cup.
FC
Midtjyland shocked United by in their first leg as they defeated United by 2-1,
and they will take that one goal advantage to Old Trafford on Thursday. Although
United got a better team as compared to Danish Champions but still the gap
which is left by David de Gea can cost them a big time.
Replying to
a question about his return Van Gaal said "I was hoping for that but he
shall not be involved, that is certain."
He also buck
up his players to rise from criticism as United were in huge criticism after
showing poor game is last couple of fixtures. He further stated...
"There's
a lot of criticism, so it can influence [the players] but they have to use
their tools to ignore it," he said. "I think Midtjylland has a very
good organisation, very detailed and the players want to perform for that
organisation.
"They play with
diagonal pressing. I do that also with my team. Not many teams are doing that.
And when I see the data of Midtjylland they have always won against English
opponents.
"I was not a great player, as you know, but when I played for
full stadiums, I was always at my best. So it is not a good signal for
Manchester United. I think most of their players shall be excited and for them
it is the biggest game of their lives, especially at Old Trafford and not at
home."
Although United were one of
the highest spenders of this season but still they are unable to do justice
with their squad value. Their performance is below the average line, they are
not in champions league and above all they don’t have any chance to win this year’s
English Premier League title.
