We very well know that Delhi Development Authority has introduced its new housing scheme 2017 named DDA Aawasiya Yojana 2017. This is a golden opportunity for those people who were looking for a dream home in capital city of India. 

DDA invites the applications from the general public for the allotment of 12072 residential flats of Lower Income Group (LIG), Middle Income Group (MIG), High Income Group (HIG) and Janta Flats. 

Under this scheme, about 10000 flats have been added from its previous housing scheme 2017. Most of the flats are available in LIG category. However, these flats were returned by the allottees due to the small size and undesirable location. 

These flats are located at 14 different location of Delhi such as Narela, Rohini, Pitampura, Loknayakpuram, Dwarka, Paschim Vihar, Jahangirpuri, Mukherjee Nagar, Dilshad Garden, Sukhdev Vihar, Jasola, Sarita Vihar, Vasant Kunj and Kalyan Vihar.

Actually, the general public was waiting for the launch of this scheme from about 1 year as the launch of this scheme was being postponed or delayed again and again. But after the wait of about 1 year. The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has finally launched its new housing scheme i.e 'DDA Aawasiya Yojana 2017'.

This time, the authority has made many changes in the DDA Housing Scheme 2017. These changes are as follows - 

 - DDA has renamed its housing scheme i.e. DDA Aawasiya Yojana 2017.

- DDA has also linked the scheme to the Central government's ambitious scheme 'Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). Under which, the people will be able to avail the benefits of the home loans for the purchasing the DDA flats under the Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS).

- There will be an option of taking the benefits of PM Awas Yojana (PMAY) in DDA Aawasiya Yojana 2017. As the applicants who want to take the benefits of the scheme can choose this option and the applicants who do not want to avail the benefits of the PMAY scheme can avoid this option.

- DDA has also removed the 5 year lock period from the DDA Aawasiya Yojana 2017 as the allottees will be free to sell their flats any time.

 - DDA has also provided the facility of visiting and investigating the DDA flats for its applicants.
