DDA released 2016-17 budget for 18 new housing projects in Delhi

Delhi Development Authority has released its 2016-17 budget for launch new housing scheme in different parts of Delhi. In the 2016-17 budget, DDA has planned to come up with 18 new housing projects in 2016-17 at Vasant Kunj, Rohini and Dwarka.

In this budget, the DDA has earmarked Rs 3,753.87 crore for the construction of houses and shops new housing projects. Besides this, DDA has also estimated Rs. 8,500 crore for DDA's annual expenditure. The DDA's budget 2016-2017 and revised estimates for 2015-2016 were presented before the authority for approval on Friday

According to the budget, the DDA has allocated sizable funds for houses, roads, parks and metro.

DDA has proposed 33 new land development scheme along with 18 New Housing Projects in 2016-17 budget at Vasant Kunj, Rohini and Dwarka.

About 33 ongoing projects to be completed at different places of Delhi like  Kalkaji, Rohini, Jahangirpuri, Dwarka, Bakkarwala, Vasant Kunj, Narela etc.

In this budget, DDA has also approved the proposal for developing eight new community halls in areas such as Pitampura, Rohini, Narela, Madanpur Khadar, Badarpur and Jasola.

According to the officials, the DDA will also develop shopping centers at Yamuna Vihar, Geeta Colony, Rajouri Garden, Paschim Vihar, Dwarka, which are already in under construction.

The DDA has also proposed the development of 2 new Integrated freight complexes at Gazipur and Narela. Besides this, 17 new master plan roads under execution at Rohini, Narela and Bakkarwala. About 13 ongoing housing development schemes are in progress at Rohini, Narela and Bakkarwala.

An official said that about 5 Biodiversity parks are being developed and a new thrust for existing ones- Aravalli Biodiversity park, Yamuna Biodiversity park, and biodiversity parks at Tilpath Valley, Jharoda Majra and Wazirabad Phase-II and the infrastructure development at four places in Rohini, UER-II connecting canal to Railway Line to Mundka NH-10, UER-I and G.T. Karnal Road to Western Yamuna Canal in the budget in this budget.

“The estimated expenditure of Rs 8,500 crore in 2016-17 is expected to be met from mainly Rs 2,700 crore from the disposal of houses, Rs 2,500 crore from the disposal of land and Rs 3,300 crore from miscellaneous income,” the DDA said.

A sum of Rs 880 crore in revised estimate of 2015-16 and Rs 910 crore in budget estimate of 2016-17 has been allocated for the expansion of green areas.

The DDA has also earmarked grants to the DMRC amounting to Rs 313.50 crore and Rs 13.50 crore for the respective periods.
