Titanium cookware I guess it is time to choose cookware and you are considering what type to pick. The most common options are:

  • aluminum
  • stainless steel
  • composites
In case you are not looking particularly for a non-stick coating then titanium cookware may catch your attention. It has several advantages, but in the first paragraph I will pay special attention to the dangers that come with titanium cookware.

    About Titanium Cookware

The kitchen utensils made from titanium have a ceramic coating on the cooking surface and a titanium center. As a metal titanium is more expensive than the metals which are usually used for cookware such as aluminum and stainless steel. Logically, the prices of titanium cookware are more expensive, too. The ceramic coating is reasonably slick, so the cookware made of titanium has a non-stick surface. On the other hand the titanium items don't have a Teflon coating which is common for most types of metal cookware.

    Dangers

Take into consideration that the first time you are cooking with titanium the cookware may heat up really fast than you expect and hold on the heat more time than other items. So, be careful otherwise you can burn the food or yourself when trying to hold the pan. And we know that most kitchen accidents occur when you touch something too hot and as a result it falls down on the floor and the mess is here. Of course professional cleaners such as cleaning specialists in Fulham Palace will give you a hand and clean no matter how bad the situation is, but there is no need to cause such problems. Another risk is to use a metal utensil to stir whatever you are cooking. The metal utensil may scratch your pan badly. And once the pan is scratched there is a risk for titanium particles to mix with your food. At least the good news is that neither titanium nor ceramic are toxic. Even more these elements are often used in medicine for making medical implants because they cause reaction in our bodies really rarely.

   Advantages

Now, let's look at some of the advantages of titanium cookware. One of the benefits of this type of cookware is that it is lighter compared to other metal types. So, you will handle it easier in the kitchen. Also if you are about to go camping, titanium cookware is a great option, because it is durable just like stainless steel, but is not that heavy. There are some benefits as well. As we already pointed out the titanium cookware does not have non-stick coating, so your family will be not exposed to some chemicals.
