cupboard doors in the kitchenKitchen cleaning involves different procedures some of which are not that difficult as you may think. In the next few lines I will show you an easy way to get rid of the dirt and grease on your kitchen cupboard doors. In general this is a simple procedure, but often housewives skip it during the cleaning of the place where we eat. Regular use is the reason for grease to accumulate day after day and as a result our cabinets will start to look unsightly. Be prepared to spend at least one hour and sometimes even more in case it has been a while since you last clean the surfaces. However, the cleaning procedure will not cost you a lot of money and the results will be more than satisfying. Take a look at this tutorial to learn how to clean your cupboards properly.

I will present you two cleaning techniques: for the first one you will have to prepare a mixture of soap and water and for the other you will need vinegar and water. Gather a few household items for the cleaning process such as a sponge, green scrub pad (non-scratch) and some towels (or clothes).

  • Soap and water

Mix one part dish soap and two parts water. Then dip your sponge in the solution and wring it well to prevent dripping. Now you can start with the washing, but take into account that you should follow the grain of wood while cleaning. Kitchen cleaning in Melbourne experts recommend to pay special attention around the edges of cupboard doors.

For stubborn areas which seem more difficult to clean use the green scrub pad. Do not apply too much pressure as there is a risk to scratch the surface. Test on an inconspicuous area first.

At the end you will have to rinse off the solution with warm water. Use a clean cloth or sponge for this purpose. Finally, dry the spot with a towel.

  • Vinegar and water

For the second method you need a solution of equal parts warm water and vinegar. Once again dip a sponge into the mixture, wring out the excess liquid and wash the kitchen cupboards. Follow the direction of the wood grain just like in the previous procedure. Lastly, rinse the surfaces and dry the area thoroughly. Make sure to remove the liquid completely, otherwise you can damage the cupboards.

The suggested methods are both tested and will work well on the kitchen cupboard doors. Just follow the instructions and very soon you will have the surfaces in your kitchen nice and clean.
