CAN I CHANGE MY DELTA FLIGHT FOR FREE?

For most Delta flight tickets, you can make standard flight changes including destination, time, and date up to 24 hours of the scheduled flight departure. If a customer is trying to change Delta Airlines Reservations within 24 hours of the flight departure, must go through Delta’s Same-day ticket changes.

Some tickets like Basic Economy, Economy fares cannot be changed after the Risk-Free cancellation time.

DELTA’S REFUNDABLE TICKET

Customers can change the flight ticket without paying any extra charges or fees, provided all fare and ticket rules are met and preferred seats are available. If the Delta’s ticket price is more than the original purchase, the customer needs to pay the difference in price from the original fare to the new flight fare.

Steps

Visit the official website of Delta airlines.
Find your trips and go to the option “My Trips”
Choose the flight you want to change
Click on the option “Modify Flight”
Select “Start Flight Change”
Select the new flight
Complete the process and pay the fare difference (if any)
Get your confirmation

DELTA’S NON-REFUNDABLE TICKET

With a Delta’s non-refundable flight ticket, you can easily change your existing Delta Airlines reservations but you’ve to pay a change fee of $0-500 depending on the destination where you are traveling and the price difference.
