Best Indian Web Series that are a must watch!

Post the craze of watching short films online, it is the time for web series to rule the digital platforms of our country. While some of them could be as controversial as some short films, nevertheless, these series are definitely entertaining.

‘TVF Pitchers’ has garnered rave reviews all over, including high ratings on the Internet Movies Data Base. It is the story of four guys who have a dream to kick off a startup of their own and become entrepreneurs. But, they end up facing obstacles while doing so, which forms the plot of the series. The series is hilarious in nature, but also inspiring to all those who have a dream of making it big. Another well received web series is ‘Bang Baaja Baaraat’. Featuring Ali Fazal, this series is about two families, which are ploes apart culturally, come together to culminate the wedding of their children. It shows the obstacles faced by the young couple who try and adjust to the families and lifestyles of their better halves. Brilliantly made, this series is highly entertaining. While short films sometimes deal with controversial topics, web series are more lighter in content comparatively.  

Mostly, the country’s youth are targeted in ‘Tanlines’, which showcases the story of six young friends who visit Goa to relax and have fun, but it turns out to be the most unexpected and wildest trip of their lives. Another well made web series is ‘Bring On The Night’, that will get your sides splitting, thanks to the brilliant roles played by the actors. It’s the story about a former party organizer, who was the best in the town. But after his club shuts down, no alternative job options excite him. He continues this way, until one night, when he happens to visit his friend's second century-old house. He finally comes up with the idea of converting the dormant house into an all night club for people who had no where to go after twelve at night.

‘Baked’ is termed as one of India’s most ambitious original fiction web-series. It showcases the misadventures of three university flatmates who decide to start a midnight food delivery service. Breaking all stereotypes, this series takes you on a roller coaster ride as the three misfits juggle student life with business, and invariably manage to land themselves into trouble. Relationship issues are another aspect that are touched by web series. ‘Permanent Room Mates’ is an example of this, wherein the story revolves around a young couple, who’ve been in a long distance relationship for three years, and the plot takes a twist when the guy proposes. What follows is an blend of fun, drama and revelations, that surround most of us who've been in a relationship.
