A sweet and delicious waffle recipe to try at home

by Rehan S. Branding
Waffles are a delicious breakfast staple that you can enjoy at any time of the day. While many people want to pick up a box of frozen waffles from the grocery store, making your waffles at home is surprisingly easy and can result in a much more delicious and satisfying breakfast experience.

You can make several waffles, like Liege waffles, Oreo waffles, vegan waffles, etc. Among them, you must try Oreo waffle at home. We will take you through the steps for making homemade waffles, from preparing the batter to cooking and serving.

How one can make homemade waffles

Ingredients:

● 2 cups of all-purpose flour
● two tablespoons of granulated sugar
● one tablespoon of baking powder
● 1/2 teaspoon salt
● 1 3/4 cups milk
● two eggs
● 1/3 cup vegetable oil
● one teaspoon of vanilla extract

Instructions:

● Preheat your waffle iron. Turn it to the setting that corresponds to the desired level of crispiness. If you have a non-stick waffle iron, there is no need to grease it. If your waffle iron is not non-stick, lightly grease it with cooking spray or oil.

● Add the flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt in a sizable mixing bowl. To equally distribute all the dry ingredients, whisk together.

● In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and mix them well. Add the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the eggs, and whisk the mixture together until smooth. Then combine them well.

● In the basin containing the dry ingredients, add the wet components. Stir the ingredients together using a spatula. Avoid over-mixing, as this might lead to tough waffles.

● After mixing the batter, let it sit for a few minutes to rest. This will give the baking powder a chance to activate, which will help the waffles rise and become fluffy.

● When the waffle iron is ready, pour a ladleful of batter into the centre of the iron. Use a spatula to spread the batter evenly over the surface of the iron.

● Close the lid of the waffle iron and let the waffle cook for 3-5 minutes or until it is golden brown and crispy. If your waffle iron has an indicator light, it will usually turn green or go off when the waffle is done.

● Use a pair of tongs or a spatula to remove the waffle from the iron carefully. Place the waffle on a plate, repeat the process with the remaining batter, and cook all the waffles.

● Serve the waffles with your favourite toppings. Maple syrup, whipped cream, fresh fruit, and chocolate chips are all popular options. You can also experiment with different flavours of waffles by adding ingredients like cinnamon, cocoa powder, or mashed banana to the batter.

Tips for Making Perfect Waffles

● Be careful not to overmix the batter. Stirring the batter too much can cause the flour's gluten to develop, making the waffles tough and chewy.

● Do not open the waffle iron too soon. Wait until the waffle is golden brown and crispy before opening the lid, or the waffle may stick to the iron or fall apart.

● Experiment with different toppings and flavours. Waffles are a blank canvas that you can customise to your taste. Try adding other fruits, spices, or extracts to it.

Conclusion
Waffles are the best way to dedicate your breakfast. We get bored eating the same breakfast every day. Sometimes, our stomach wants something different, and our tongue wants to taste more delicious things. So, whenever you feel like this, make some waffles at home.
