A Special Poem

I wrote this for a friend of mine a couple of years ago as she had just lost her Father in a freak accident and was feeling very down. Enjoy.

A Special Poem

 

 

I sat down to write a poem for you.

Just then I realized how little I know of you.

But who really needs to know someone new,

When writing a poem just for you.

 

I know your heart has been broken in the past.

By men who never appreciated you.

You are fragile as a paper Mache’ cast,

Your life was a deep Sea blue.

 

But now we have found each other.

Like an older sister and a younger brother.

May we be friends forever?

May we face the hardships together?

 

One day you will find your Soul mate.

I will be there to guide you.

It will be everything you want, as clean as slate.

I will be there right beside you.

 

So never fear, your friend is here.

I will stand beside you holding your hand.

I will be the one wiping away your tear.

Your heart will be pumping like a huge brass band.

 

I know this seems a little weird, but what the hell.

I am weird so they should all live with it.

I want you to come to me and crawl out of your shell.

I want you to be happy and if they don’t like it they can go to hell.

 

My but this poem is long.

I could almost turn it into a song.

But your friendship means the World to me,

So why not write a long poem for the one who is special to me.
