A seminar on helping women victims of violence was held in Kokand

A training seminar on the rehabilitation and social adaptation of women victims of domestic violence was held. The seminar was attended by representatives of the Kokand city hall, the Kokand department of the Ministry for Family and Mahalla Support, the Fergana Regional Center for the Rehabilitation of Women Victims of Domestic Violence, the Regional Department of Internal Affairs and the City Directorate of Internal Affairs of the Department of Internal Affairs, the city prosecutor’s office, the justice department and non-governmental, non-profit organizations.

At the seminar, concepts were given to improve the status of women in society and the family, legal literacy of women , improve interaction in this area between government and non-government organizations.

It was noted at the seminar that the measures specified in the presidential decree “On measures to radically improve activities in the field of supporting women and strengthening the institution of the family” are key in this issue.
