9 facts about the mini goldens
- The first fact to get right is that there is no such breed as a miniature golden retriever. According to the American Kennel Club (AKC) the only true breed of the kind is the golden retriever.
- Some kennel club and breeders don't recognize the comfort retriever as a different breed. So what you have is a small sized golden retriever.
- There is a dog breed (also a retriever) that looks like the mini golden retriever (and sometimes mistaken for it) and recognized by the AKC in the sporting group. It is a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever.
