Choose “Fresh Passport” and fill in personal details carefully. Verify spellings and dates, as discrepancies can lead to delays.

Step 3: Choose Booklet Type

Select either a 36-page or 60-page booklet depending on your expected travel frequency.

Step 4: Choose Service Type

Select between:

  • Normal Service – Standard processing (7-15 working days)

  • Tatkal Service – Expedited processing (1-3 working days), with additional fees and documentation

Step 5: Pay Fees

Tatkal Passport for First-Time Applicants

If you need your passport urgently, the Tatkal scheme is an excellent option. Requirements include:

  • Standard documents for ID, address, and DOB

  • Annexure “F” verification from a Gazetted Officer

  • No pending police cases or criminal records

Tatkal passports are usually dispatched within 1–3 days of document submission.
