by Vegan Culinary Cruises Luxury – All Inclusive – All Vegan
Traveling can be a stressful experience for many people, but it’s especially challenging for vegans. When you’re out of your routine and exploring the world, it can be more difficult to find vegan options and stick to your diet unless you’re staying on a vegan culinary cruise.

The good news is that there are ways to make traveling as a vegan smoother and more enjoyable. From packing snacks to learning some key phrases in the local language, these four vegan travel tips can help you feel more prepared for your next adventure.

Plan Ahead

Planning ahead is a great way to make sure you're prepared for anything that comes your way. Look up eateries and grocery stores in the area you'll be visiting, and check out some of their menus online before you head out the door. You can look up reviews or ask friends for recommendations too!

Pack Wisely

You should bring vegan snacks with you for the plane or train ride and for those days when you just need a quick bite to eat. Grapes, peanuts, and almonds are great snacks for traveling because they will keep you full and don't require refrigeration.

If you know there will be limited options for eating out, then pack your own food. Pack some snacks that will keep you going when there's nothing for lunch or dinner. Some hotels will have a communal fridge in the lobby. If not, ask if they have a fridge in the hotel room which can be used to store your food.

Find Restaurants Before You Travel

Research vegan-friendly restaurants in the area where you'll be staying. This way, you won't waste time searching while on vacation. It's always nice to know exactly where to go when you're hungry so that you can spend more of your time enjoying yourself rather than looking for a place to eat.

Do some research before you leave. Look up local cuisine and see what you might be able to eat in the country you’re visiting. You can also use this as an opportunity to start learning some basic phrases in the local language so that you can communicate with people if needed.

Bring Emergency Supplies

Always make sure to pack some electrolyte powder/tablets, water purification tablets, vitamins, and any other things that will help keep you healthy while aboard vegan tours or most importantly if you're traveling somewhere exotic where drugstores or other medical supplies providers are inaccessible.
