The decision to lose your weight is a huge feat in itself. Most people feel too lazy to even think about embarking on a diet plan. With so many varieties of good food around, it is nearly impossible to stick to a no-junk diet. Moreover, people do not feel like putting hours behind working out in the gym. All these reasons add up to increase your body weight. However, in order to ensure that weight does not take a toll on your health, you need to start with baby steps. Here are three ways to get your weight loss challenge off to a good start-

  1. Chalk Out a Healthy Diet Food Plan:

Working out at the gym alone will do nothing if you do not back it up with a healthy eating plan. To make your life easier you can first start downloading one of those diet tracker apps that give you your daily calorie intake meter after taking your weight, age, height and goal weight into consideration. A good diet plan should comprise sufficient portions of fruits, lean proteins, vegetable juices extracted from real fruits. Make sure to either completely cut out sugary treats or limit yourself to one treat only once a week. Avoid consuming too many fatty or fried foods.

  1. Exercise:

Should you find it difficult or boring to put in one-two hours in the gym every day, try to implement other ways of exercising in your daily routine such as walking to your destination instead of opting for a transport. Opt for the stairs instead of taking the escalator. If you have a desk job, then ensure to take short walks of 10-15 every hour. This not only helps you in losing calories but also is also good for resting your eyes. You can also opt for exciting workout routines like playing sports or joining a dance class.

  1. Drink Plenty of Water:

You must maintain a good water diet every day. Water not only aids in hydration but also lowers your appetite to eat. Often your body is tricked into believing that it is hungry. So whenever you feel the urge to eat creep up on you, have a glass of water to figure out if you are genuinely hungry or not. Health experts recommend a daily intake of 2-3 litres of water.

Aside from the few diet plan ways mentioned above, you should also make sure to get a good night sleep of at least 7-8 hours daily because stress and sleep deficiency are major contributors to weight gain.
