ApSense — at first glance
As for ApSense, “Newbie” is my best description. However, I have 10 years of internet so, “newbie” is good in conjunction with ApSense.
I have seen over 40,000 sites over the years so I was pretty much aware of what I was looking for.
So, how it feels?
I have seen some dozens of networking sites, so I am pretty familiar with the first steps. So, I will speak from the perspective of the newcommer that knows a few things, and knows what he wants.
The first surprise, was the rich palette of options on the profile page. This is great!
Loading speed — at a 2 Mbaud connection, which is somewhere up to 224 KB/sec — is awesome, so completing the various tasks, was nice and easy.
I have to admit that although I subscribed some time ago, I was too busy to perform the needed steps.
A couple of days ago, I wanted some variation and I logged in. Well, that was it!
I spent some 4 hours stumbling upon all kind of stuff the network offers.
One of the most interesting things I found here, is the plugin concept and the ABC — ApSense Business Center.
Although it takes some time to get familiar with all the things here, it definitely worths spenting the time and the effort!
Another feature I enjoyed is the Gropus section. The “mechanics” behind the groups, allow you to go to the article, to the author or to the group, at your choice. Wow! That's a time-saver and I really appreciate the solution! It's kinda “All-In-One”.
Getting back to the plugin concept, I enjoyed very much the idea of being connected to various sites and services through the means of ApSense Passport. Another time-saving solution.
On the long-run, it might prove a little risky, since ApSense uses a standard http:// connection, so private data transfer is exposed to the whole internet. Crackers might take advantage of that. On the other hand, since the basic membership is FREE, it is very difficult to ask for a SSL connection (https://).
The overall feeling I have is... WOW-WOW!
I hope you feel the same. I'll be back with other ideas about working inside ApSense.

I liked reading your article and I like APSense. Using all tools (in the right way) can brand you and your business. In the process you will make connections with wondeful people. Don't worry about your English, I understood all perfectly. Writing in English is a challenge as I know from own experience. I am Dutch (from Holland) and my schooldays are long ago. I started writing in English about a year ago and got better by reading a lot and by writting a lot. Keep up the good work!

@ Mohann:
Thanks! I will do my best to bring my students in. The problem is the English language... I am from Romania, and my students, also. Some of them learned English, while many others...
Although I stated clearly in the books I wrote, in the course itself, thast English language is used by some 3,000,000,000 (yes! billion!) people around the world, it seems that there are still many that find it difficult to learn a second language.
On the other hand, I am very confident in what I can d

I think it would be wonderful if newbies to APSense read this - they would love to jump on the bandwagon more quickly! Serban, a big top for that even it counts only one.
