Uh-oh! It's Doomsday...again
Yes once again we are being told the world is going to end. Supposedly tomorrow is it. It seems that we are going to experience a major global earthquake sometime before 6pm Eastern time. At least according to Harold Camping, head of Family Radio Christian Network.
Okay I consider myself a believer. Is it just me or does it seem like Christianity has an "end of the World" fetish or what? Why does it seem a lot of Christians instead of informing people of the message of love and tolerance Christ brought to us to gain followers, feel the need to us fear mongering in an attempt to frighten people into joining their congregations? No wonder we are getting hit with the message that there is a terrorist hiding under every rock, every time you turn around another 'Christian' sect has forgotten all about the "Christ" part of their message and told us that God is going to destroy us all.

Oh well while these particular Christians cower in fear of the coming Earthquake, I'll crank up the volume and caterwaul along to a little R.E.M :
"It's the end of the world as we know it,
It's the end of the world as we know it
And I feel fine!"

Yes I'm waiting for Sunday morning when they all sit around saying "Oops!"
It's not the first time and it won't be the last time that these fanatics run around like Chicken little screaming the sky is falling only to turn around and eat their words.
Glad that you are not being subjected to it Radek.

@Joseph I saw online that some guy in New York City spent his entire life savings $140,000 to advertise this end of the world prophecy. I'm surprised that Christians keep buying into this junk. They need to pick up their bibles and read Matthew 24 Verse 36 and read the words of Christ:
“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father."
So If God is the only one who knows (Even Jesus Christ himself admits that HE doesn't know) why

I could said a lot about this indeed. But The end of the World will come when it comes...and not when some "Crazy" people as I see them runs around in streets screeming about it.
Between I really love the picture, with the boy on the left showing that poster about the sun ;o) So we have a lot of time still...
He is Right, when that happens the end of the World is here.
Enjoy your weekend, I am sorry to tell you all, the only that will end is the Weekend.

Here in Czech Republic nothing. We are a part of Christian world (although most Czechs are saying they are atheists, but we celebrate holidays like Easter and Christmas like our holidays, so I think we are) and noone here is doing campaigns like I see in your picture. I never saw people in T-shirts or with eye-catchers doing this panic here (the only thing with Christian things on shirts was celebration of Pope in our country and that was celebration full of happiness and hopeful). I think that

In my corner of the world no one is speaking about any doomsday. This one caught me by surprise! I watched a very, very bad movie last year and in it doomsday was 2012! Are we already there?! I've been so distracted!
In my corner of the world, we are worried with more down to earth things like unemployment, gas price, lack of celerity in Justice, loosing social rights obtained after April 25, 1974, loosing our houses to banks cos we can't afford to pay it anymore, closing our companie...So, fo
