The difference between SPAM and that other thing that works!
A guy is visiting a new town, he walks into the coffee shop and sees
thatthere are many people inside. He asks in a loud voice.. "who wants to buy me a cup of coffee?" The patrons of the coffee shop all look at the Stanger thinking who in the world is this guy.
When no one offers to buy him a cup of coffee he asks again. The owner of the coffee shop says "go on get out of here before I call the cops, your disturbing my customers."
A few hours later another man enters the coffee shop and says, "what a beautiful town this is, I would love to buy each of you a cup of coffee."
It is all about building relationships. Which one of those guys do you think would be better at building a relationship? You can SPAM people or you can build relationships. One of the easiest ways to build a relationship is to offer something that someone needs, Free of charge.
Getting people to know like and trust you is the name of the game.
Perhaps it is an eBook or suggest a tool that you have found useful, offer a couple of tips that have been of benefit to you.
This great place called APSense is the best place to build relationships that I have found. This is a perfect place to be able to build relationships and get people to know like and trust you.

Not everyone you meet is a viable prospect, relationship or not. When you look at everyone as a potential sale you are shooting yourself in the foot. Networking is not about selling to your contacts but building the relationship with them so that they will give you access to the people they know when you can help.
So many 'networkers' online and they still have not grasped the difference. It's not about who you know but who the people you know happen to know.

Very artistic and apt! It's about giving without any expectation in return that builds any relationship.
