1. Have a Product

Like you don’t know, you must have an offline product/service for this section to be useful for you. If you don’t have one already, create it! The good thing is everyone can d o something. Write a book. Start a fashion house. Teach your language. Go into real estate. Own a company. Open a dancing school. Become a programmer. Be a preacher. Make an album.

There are a million things you can do. Just do something. Nevertheless, whatever you do or want to do, please do it well. This is because the world is a large market, and it’s not only you who sells tomatoes.

2. Make your Product Unique

To make people buy from you, you have to tell them why. Needless to say, others are endlessly coming up with reasons why people should

purchase from them. Are you familiar with USP? Some call it “Unique Selling Promise” others, “Unique Selling P point.” Call it whatever you want, but please don’t forget to include the most important word –UNIQUE.

I just want to get you to see that we’re in an increasingly competitive world, and the internet is the single most competitive entity you can imagine given the online population. To give your business an edge therefore,

you need to learn how to adapt, improve, impress and sell.

 3. Have a Website

Now that you have a unique product, you must put together a decent website. A Website is the cheapest way to start a business, and offer a service without needing a premises or staff. This becomes your global

office, where you can transact business with your clients.

You need to have your own domain. Businesses

hosted on free Sub domains e.g. Blogger.com, or wordpress.com etc are sometimes not taken seriously and are generally considered to be unprofessional. If a company doesn't care enough about its business to get its own domain name, potential customers may not feel comfortable doing business with them. A company with its own domain name and a professional looking web site will have a much higher rate of success when compared with most business sites hosted on

free servers.

Owning a decent website doesn’t take much. However, a lot of business

people here end up having something that repels prospective clients rather than generating leads, all because they are not ready to pay for a quality website. They simply hire an inexperienced

“webmaster” to create a sort of “just anything” website for them. That’s a huge mistake!

At the end of the day, they end up losing clients who got a wrong first impression of them. Unfortunately, you might never get a second chance to make a winning first impression. You see, your site is the first thing

people see about you and evaluate you with. Do you think it’s unfair for people to judge the content by its container? Well, I don’t think s o. The

container is all we can see. So ensure you build a striking first impression by going for a really decent website

With about $50 or less  you can Buy, Design and  host a very decent, professional, world-class website from where you can transact your business online.

It’s not enough to have a professional website; you must look at a much broader picture and specifically design your website to sell. Your website must also have the following:

                     Quality Content

In order to create a steady stream of traffic to your web site, you must give your visitors a reason to visit and continue to visit in the future. You must provide your visitors with fresh content on a continual basis.

                        Targeted Traffic

No matter how great your web site is, unless you're receiving quality,

targeted traffic, it will be useless. Your web site may receive hundreds of

visitors each day. However, if they aren't interested in the products or services you're offering, your web traffic won't mean a thing. You must drive a continuous stream of targeted traffic to your web site.

                          Opt-in List

Having your own list of targeted potential customers is an absolute essential part of your success. It will not only provide you with a direct line of communication with potential customers and enable you to

promote products or services, but it will also build your credibility.

             Quality In-Demand Products/Services

Whether you’re marketing your own products or      someone else’s, quality

is an absolute must. Select products and/or services that will be of interest to your target market.

4. Promote your Website

It’s one thing to have a website; it’s another thing for people to know about your website. So, one of your most urgent duties is to drive traffic

to your website. The more people visit your website, of course, the more money you can make!

Developing a successful marketing strategy or you may call it “killer Marketing Strategy” is an essential part of your online success. In order to succeed, you must develop and implement a strategic plan that

includes all of the following:

- Great products/Services

- A web site specifically designed to sell

- A killer marketing strategy

Each step plays an important role in your overall strategy and must be

developed to its fullest potential. If even one step fails, your chances of

success will be minimal.

5. Have Fun With It

Now you have an impressive online presence. That makes all the difference in the world. For you, making money becomes fun. You’ll begin to experience the clear difference between the conventional way of doing business and taking advantage of the Internet. It is no more business as usual; rather, it is business unusual.

Personally, one of the smartest things I ever did was to Start a Blog online. I began to see more opportunities than I ever imagined offline.
