Several upcoming events are taking place to explore the colors of Arizona thanks to the Scottsdale Gallery Association?s Best of Scottsdale event. The Douglas Fryer-Tonalist?s Landscape exhibition at the Marshall-LeKae Gallery until the end of March, Dick Phillips exhibit on ?Embracing Color? at the Duley Jones Gallery until March 13, 2011. Both galleries are located on Scottsdale?s Main Street which is known for its many world class art galleries and cultural offerings.

The Marshall Gallery is a leader in contemporary oil painters and sculptors, while the LeKae gallery is renowned for its fine arts and crafts. Together they form The Marshall-LeKae Gallery. Artist David Jonason exhibition is Cubist-inspired big sky landscapes of the southwest. His paintings convey the sense of limitless possibility and boundless opportunity that has attracted visitors to Arizona since its Wild West days. The Duley-Jones Gallery features many well-known regional artists including Scottsdale artist Dick Phillips. His exhibition fuses two very different ways to explore things complete with amazing colors. Dick Phillips is a respected water-color instructor in Scottsdale, who has taught for over 30 years at Brio Fine Arts in Scottsdale.
