Puppy Names
Do you think picking a name for a baby is difficult? Than try to find and choose a name for your puppy with the whole family!
Finding puppy names is not so hard since there are sites to be found on the internet with lists of hundreds of dog names you can choose from to name your puppy.
But that does not make it any easier at all.
I remember when we had to pick one years ago when we decided we wanted a dog for a pet. My teenager boys created a list from puppy names they took from the internet with puppy names they liked; both had their own list, which of course were totally different from each other except for 1 or 2 names.
Those were names that I did not like. My husband was no big help either: "Why don't we can call the puppy "Mister" or "Stupid", he said, "might be fun when we call it in the park."
Than there we good names that we could not pick because somebody else in the
street already had a dog with that name. Or sounded to much as a command like
"sit", or where too long or just plain ridiculous.
So what name did we pick? None. Because we decided later to get a dog from the animal shelter and the dog we picled already had a (ridiculous) name: "Trouble". This name suited this Rottweiler fine. You can read more about "Trouble" on The Pets Club. The Pets Club is one of APSense niche communities. On the Pets Club we share our passion for pets and animals in general. We also support organizations for pet rescue and adoption, we show featured animals on our site that are looking for a new home.
Still I am still wondering if would ever have found a suitable puppy name, if we had decided to buy a puppy. So I am curious: how did you choose a name for your puppy? What name did you choose and why did you choose that particular name? Please tell me in a comment.

Our first family pet was a black pug and my husband wanted to name her Skipper after a dog he had as a child, so our children added Marie as a middle name. We ended up with all of our female dogs throughout the years with their first name beginning with an *S", so next was Sandi Lynne(fawn pug), Stacee Anne(Boston terrier, Sammie Jo(Boston terrier, Stella Jean(fawn pug and Sallee Mae(Pomeranian).

What name would the puppy pick for its self? Well if I was a puppy I would pick the name "Nobody" thus saving myself, naughty as I am, for a lot trouble. Who ate those shoes? Who snatched the meat from the kitchen table? Who shreaded the news paper? Nobody!

My dogs and pets in general tend to fall into their names. My first dog got sick before I even had a chance to name her and I set with her threw a number of days nursing her threw pneumonia, the whole time just comforting her and calling her honey when i spoke to her. She survived her illness and had gotten the name Honey-Dog. a month later we found out that her Dams name was Honey as well which is kewl.

@Paris I like these sugestions to call a dog after its behavior. And I can imagine fun things happening when your dog is named like a famous person like a president or other famous persons. I picture me in the park shouting: "Lady Gaga come here!"

I named my first pet dog as JACK, my village nick name (not my real nick name. When my friends call me, my pet dog Jack also reacts.
Our latest pet dog (from Peru), they call it a piggy dog, because he doesn't have any hair(fur). He has a brownish to black skin, that when you touch it, it feels like a human skin. When our family was choosing a name for him, it was at that time when one President was on hot news all over the world. So we named him after that President's name. Our friends and

Great names and a wonderful story. Good that some of them had a long and short names they listened to. Imagine calling 'sir Winston Curchiiiiiiiiiiiiiill' in the woods; the dog would be a mile away before you fisnished calling its name

Our dogs have unique names And it all started with a game of one-up-manship between my sister and my daughter.
My sister named her old dog Sir Winston Churchill-Church for short.
My Daughter then named our next puppy Duchess to outrank Church.
Our Next puppy was 9 months old when we got him and was already used to the name Blackie because of his color, but could my daughter let it be? Of course not. She decided that Blackie was short for Lord Blackstone the First.
My sister ended up r
