?Why do I say that? Well on any network big or small, in order to obtain contacts or business connections you need a profile. Your profile tells a potential client or business contact who you are what you do and what your goals are. In any network you have to represent your organization, company or affiliate program. Just like a resume you have tell a little bit about yourself. In chronological order you have to present your objective your experience and skills.

Not only do you have to present your skills but products and services as well. What do I mean? Well, most business networks allow members to showcase their products and services. When preparing your profile you can show(briefly) what your business organization is about. I know I am repeating myself. However, it is important to give a good impression and present not only yourself but the business in a professional manner.

A profile is your holy Grail. The should not be too many advertisements on your profile. Although, there are spaces on your profile suitable enough for such ads, the resolution of said ads should fit your profile. The ads should not be running off the page. That makes your profile and business center look sloppy.

What should be on your profile?

Let's see:

1. Business logo or a picture of yourself

2 . A brief description of your business

3. Followed by a brief description of yourself your interest and why you want to connect

4. A short summary of what your company, affiliate program or organization does.

5. What are 3 of your most sought after goals for your business?

Maintaining your profile

How dos a net worker maintain their profile?

A few things should be considered

Presentation is everythinPlan out your profile just like you would your about page on your web site. Express yourself with dignity.

Proof read proof read proof read: We all over look things. Why not do a clean sweep of your profile? You would be surprised at how many errors you see. Spell check is always a wise tool.

Update periodically: why? Well, you might have changed a product or reestablished a feature o your business that your contacts were waiting for. Perhaps, you started a brand new affiliate program or website. Why not share?
