Before You Market Consider these
Your website was well designed you have a good web host and you want to market. You have already checked to see if its SEO Friendly (Search Engine Optimized). However, you are missing a few things. Things that can help you get right on track with your marketing.
Before you start consider these:
-Set goals realistic
That will allow you to market in an organized way. Think everything through before you jump into the fray. Take your time and plan out your marketing campaign.
-Ask your self questionslike:
What is my target market?
Is there a site that suits my business?
Should I consider social networking as a method of marketing?
Will I get the most out of the marketing I choose?
-Budgeteven if you are using free programs.
You may like that program so much that you will actually upgrade. Make sure that this program/service is worth the money of your business. Why did I say that? Well, any money made from the service whether it be free or paid, belongs to the business first. With that being said, before you can get paid the business needs t get paid. Make absolutely certain this site delivers for your business. That is how YOU get turn a profit.
-Get yourself together.
I know it's a bit blunt but you need to be organized in order for your marketing efforts to turn up good results. This starts with your work space. If you work at home and you don't have any ailments in the legs, get a lap desk. get comfortable. You sit on your bed and work or sit on he couch while the TV is on. Many people cannot work unless there is music or TV in the background. There are many varieties of lap desks. They are very cheap and last a long time. Think you'll go to sleep? Well, take that junk off of you desk. The only things that should occupy that desk is your computer, paper, printer and notebooks for notations.
Also, learn to think positive and ever give up on these goals. The moment you sit still mentally and second guess yourself you stop dreaming. When you stop dreaming you stop doing. When you stop doing you make no profit and your business fails. There goes all your hopes and dreams and the goals you set. Out...the...window.
These are just a few things to keep in mind before you jump head first into marketing rocks without a helmet.

Thank you for the comment. Yes a good filing and headline system very essential. Being organized is a good start. a person cannot be successful if their affairs are in shambles. Many people don't consider this but they also need a lear desk. I for one cannot work in chaos. Drives me up a wall. Can't get ideas and set new goals if distracted by mess.

Good advise that everyone can use! The main question that should be asked is "What is my target market?" Once you have answered that question you need to find a niche for that targeted market.
