Business networking can be assertive not annoying:

Do not irritate your connections they will UN follow and disconnect you. It is not earth shattering if someone un-follows or disconnects. However, it should be for a good reason not because you were not following guidelines.

 Article:

blog postings should not be blatant advertising. Why is it and how dos it work? Is there more information? Perhaps a reference or a wikki definition to help the reader better grasp concepts and theories. Is there a software packet you are selling but yo want to explain how it works? Why not explain the benefits of the investment instead of writing a solo ad. More than likely the social network will offer that type of service for a fee.

When commenting: comments should not be advertisements only. The links or buttons to your websites and programs should be enough. Why? When you give a meaningful comment the recipient will be more happy to click them. Give a testimonial that's honest tactful and insightful. State why you like or disagree with the post or article an explain that you'll return. Thank the person for sanding their input. Lastly, you can also ad your input to the profile you are responding to. Add your expertise as you well.

When connections are made: don't use that as an opportunity to just blatantly advertise your business. Just like in many work environments you have to prove yourself. What articles have you written? What comment did you give that was informative and note worthy for that connection to frequent your profile?

Conduct: how you present yourself in the social network should be taken seriously. Just like in a corporate office, u r there to Create business relationships that can one day be paying relationships and partnerships. What you say and do ( as far as participation) should be respectful and meaningful. Always good to think before you post. You never know I your employer, employees and future clients are there watching.. Why burn your own pockets.
