Emeka Okafor donates kits to Nigerian players

United States of America basketball star, Emeka Okafor through his pet
project The Emeka Okafor Foundation donated cartons of sports wears to
Nigerian players.
Making the donation in Lagos is the elder Okafor Dr. Pius Okafor who flew into the country from his USA-base to deliver the items to members of the foundation represented by Col. Sam Ahmedu (Rtd).
Col. Ahmedu who also doubles as the Coordinator of the Dodan Warriors Basketball Project thanked Okafor who represented the USA at the 2004 Olympic Games for remembering the teeming basketball players back at home.
The senior Okafor says the donation is the first step among the numerous things his son intends to do to contribute to the development of the game in Nigeria.
Shoes, jerseys and other playing kits were among the items donated by the New Orleans Hornets centre
