Advice needed on GDI
What is GDI today? I used to enjoy my website with GDI. But suddenly they launched a new web builder without any previous notice. And guess what? That new web builder hasn't worked well since it was launched; it disrupted all my plans--a very unprofessional move from Global Domains International, wasn't it?
I tried to contact the owners to no avail; they are unreachable. My letter was never answered. There is no CEO either; support says that they handle everything themselves. And again, guess what? Since I started with GDI, more than once I've had to go around support to be able to get support.
Someone told me that it didn't matter. He told me that we don't need their web builder or support, you only need the company because there are other ways to build your website. Is that so? I am still a beginner on the Internet (with HTML etc). Anyway, I rather do business with people, so I am gradually moving out; I can't recommend it anymore. What would you do?
There is a free web hosting company that I am looking into as a temporary alternative (maybe permanent because they have an upgrade that seems competitive) This is their link: http://www.000webhost.com Have you heard of them? If so, please advise me. I haven't joined them yet.

Hi Rio,
GDI is a good affiliate business if you want to make money but Not a good webhosting as they are very limited.
Now, I personaly use free hosting like Byethost and 110mb that are very competitive and my paid hosting is WHP as you can see in my signature.
Hope this will help :)

Hi everyone!
Thanks for your tips. Appreciated!
Jean may be right. It could be a matter of personal preference to an extent. I have to ask Bill why he doesn't endorse host gator anymore. I have heard very good things about them.

Hi Rio
I can commiserate with you on this one. When a site changes and
it isn't an actual improvement that is very perplexing. I'm not ready
to build a site from scratch yet either. It takes more time and html
know how than I'm ready for.
I'm a free member at ecomplanet Here's my site if you want to look

and here's the affiliate link

Hi Rio,
I think that hosting companies are a matter for personal preference.
Currently, and for the past three years, I've been with Edatarack.
They are fine, as far as I'm concerned, but others don't think so. It's
whatever works for you.

Hi Sherri Anne!
Thank you for your advice. I think I am going to try Host Gator. Blue Host did not impressed me when I tried it.

I have had domains online since 2000, and I had a horrible experience with AtoZ or something like that. I have had an account with bluehost for 6 six years, and I love it. Affordable and add on domains only $10 a year. Also a rockin affiliate program http://www.bluehost.com/track/ladystrange/text1"

I think I'd be doing plenty of research into both free and inexpensive
hosting companies.
Some of them are just no good, but 3ix was recommended to me

Haven't joined GDI so can't give my opinion there, but there is a
reasonable hosting company which starts for $1 per month 3 IX
I think. May be worth looking into.
And I'm not connected with them in any way. :-)
