I find this list quite interesting for several reasons. One, social networking or Web 2.0 sites are a sign of the times and, in my humble opinion, no longer a trend. Most of these social sites will also have members who HAVE NOTHING TO SELL, they are NOT promoting a business, and will add a consumer base that will be very easy to reach. Secondly, very few of the business networking sites made the list. If you want to market to the masses, joining some of the above sites is a must. Third, I have long been a proponent of Squidoo (#22) and one of the best ways to get your business shown in the search engines is to create a Squidoo lens! Finally, for all you "Yuwie doubters", after only seven months of being online they are #34. Quite an accomplishment. Their member base now reaches over 400,000 people and climbing every day!

I will have to check out Ecademy, I have never heard of it. I do agree with Dawie, I believe some of those sites, no longer exist..

I think Dulce Negosyante missed one of the best. Ecademy is a thriving community of active small businesses, entrepreneurs and home workers who share knowledge, refer and trade with one another and through this empower each other to reach higher level of business skills and professionalism in their market.

Yuwie has too many pop-ups. I wonder how they got that position?

Knowing what we know as internet "gurus" , ot comes down to what you got first and where you are with your process. Haveing a list on 100 internet sites that will improve your referral trees does nothing that you currently have a boat load of dung in your offerings.
I always do something like this when I see a list of this humongus list. Take a couple from the top and sign-up. Take 1 from the middle sign-up. Take one from the bottom and forget about it.
Don't look at the whole picture,

I see that www.weBoss.org is not on this list. As alexa rank is about 1.800.000 , I think weBoss.org should be on 99th position - lol!

That's part of the reason why I use the Firefox browser! All my log-in information is saved in my browser and works I think easier than RoboForm (which I have used in the past)

Hi MizRae...
I just came by to say Happy Hearts Day!
and here's this long list of the top 100 social networking sites....
I think that's the key: Social networks
APSense is Business/social also so it's different... like what Cheryl and marS and Jeunelle all
were saying! lol!
happy hearts day!

You do make valid points, Cheryl; but when I'm on Yuwie I actually read profile blogs. Yes time consuming, but many of the blogs I've read have some very useful content. But then again, I love reading different blogs, gaining insights into different countries and cultures and interacting with members. I'm certainly not saying you need to join all of them, but I still believe there is an untapped resource that is being overlooked. Yuwie may not be your "baliwick" which is fine, but don't dis

It comes down to a question of time. There are literally dozens of other sites you can be on. If you have the time to keep getting redirected somewhere else for pennies then great. When you have to make your time on-line count set ups like Yuwie's are wasting quite a bit of valuable time you could use somewhere else in a more efficient manner.
Yes you are getting "paid" by them but compare what they are paying to what you can earn here APSense. No contest whatsoever.
Most of the Yuwie co

I suppose that depends on your goal with these sites. Quite obviously if you'd rather "pay to advertise" rather than "be paid to advertise" then these sites are not for you. I look at it this way, while Yuwie may be a pain, it's still FREE exposure.

the same here...so I don't see any difference between this sites and apsense. Except that apsense is smaller and everything works relatively fast if compare with other social networking sites.

The only problem with many of these sites is that they have a large percentage of members who join and do nothing. Also Being active is a pain, it's easier to just buy ad space and be done with it. Yuwie is a major pain. You can do anything without being redirected to an ad page every couple of minutes. You spend a major portion of your time navigating away from the ad pages rather than interacting with members.
