Zen

One could speak of Zen all day and say nothing.
One could say nothing all day and speak of Zen.

To hold is to lose.
To let go is to gain.

When your words and thoughts are few,
Your soul is strong.
But much speaking will turn you from your true self.

Dampening the fire, centering the soul,
He who has wisdom will understand.
He who understands will have wisdom.

Thus speaks the ancient text:
If everyone knew it, it would not be wisdom.

Heaven above, and earth below,
here in the middle we meet.
