Christmas Rush Is Over!

Now that Christmas day is over, maybe we can relax!  I have the house to myself today and haven't been able to motivate myself into doing anything important.  I tore down the mountain of toy boxes left from yesterday, and picked up some odd scraps of red and green paper, but that's about it.  It's a beautiful, sunny day, so I took a drive just to get out of the house for a while, which was kind of pointless because there's no one here to get away from! 

We had a houseful yesterday.  The family gets bigger every year!   We are so blessed.  This year we added Louis to our family on August 2 and his cousin Tyler on October 27.  Both are doing very well and growing like weeds.  Louis is getting to be a real personality now, at almost 5 months.  He is so cheerful, sweet, and cuddly! 

Christmas wasn't really too stressful.  I am learning to just let go, and enjoy my family instead of trying to make everything just right.  It's not worth the trouble.  I didn't bother to drag out the whole mountain of decorations this year, and the house looked just fine anyway.  I never did get the chocolate chip cookies baked, but we had plenty of others.   I didn't stress out over gifts, just bought or made things I knew they would like and that I could afford.  Everyone seemed pleased.  It was an enjoyable holiday this year.  I hope yours was, too!
