Communicating effectively is an important first step in any business venture.  Sales materials, advertisements, blog posts, and other advertising media must leave a good first impression to convince potential customers that you are a professional who pays attention to detail.  Sloppy writing can make you look careless and amateurish, maybe even stupid!

We don't all have perfect writing skills, but making the effort to use proper grammar, spelling, punctuation and sentence structure may make all the difference between making a sale or losing it.

We're all born with different strengths and weaknesses, and there is no shame in admitting that your skills could use improvement, or asking someone to proofread for you.  Lots of popular writers have great ideas and depend on others to proofread and edit for them.
