Ok, it is fess up time.
I am 54 years old.
Today I noticed something that was such a head slapper I had to ask :
WHO KNEW?????
You know on the plastic wrap and the tin foil.
You go to get a piece and the whole roll comes out?
Have you ever had that happen to you?
TODAY!!! I noticed that their are 2 little perforated half circles on each long side of the box.
What a Twit I am, if you push those little things in, it keeps that roll from coming out when yanked on.
Am I the only person in the world that didn't know that till today?
Please tell me if I have enlighten anyone with my revolation.
Scary isn't it, I actually have people that are in business with me.

I never knew that! Don't worry, I've had things like this happen before. I relate it to always being in a time crunch.

Oly SHI-! I would have never admited this, lol. But heck yes every time I open the tin foil the dag thing falls on the ground and its a mess. I often wondered, there has got to be a better way. Now I know that there is.
Thanks for sharing this with us Cindy. Now I'm gonna teach that tin foil a lesson or two!

So true Beth.
That was the thing about the salt and sugar exchange for me too.
I don't buy salt in the bag, It was probably done at the product maker place.
See I knew it wasn't me.
And about the circles on the end of the boxes, That must be something new
I am getting private messages about that and people are asking me to be
more clear as to where they are. and then....
Nope !!!
Not on their boxes,
So maybe it isn't me after all.

Cindy!
I did not know this. You enlightened me about these tabs of half circles on the sides! Next time I buy some I'll know what to do about this....
I"ve not had the sugar exchanged for salt by gremlins meddling with my recipes... but then I don't buy salt by the bagful? But.... the plastic wrap has always been my nemesis...it just doesn't want to unroll from the tube in a way that it can be used for a wrap over anything bigger than a cookie!

Speaking of Libras...
For those who don't know Libras are the sign of the scale
Balanced, that is.
Years ago I was working with a gal , Diana. She was just a delight.
We worked well together because one did what the other didn't want to do and was better at . And the other did the same. Actually I think you could say were were a true team.
We got along wonderfully. One day we talked about our dates of birth.
Well come to find out our birthdays were the same October 10.

You know that is true about the sugar and the salt exchanging containers.
I still to this day do not know how it happened I made cookie to take somewhere and thank goodness i couldn't resist taste testing one.
I used SALT in place of the sugar.
To this day I think it was gremlins.

Since my love for the kitchen forces me to do battle with many violent items (I'm 55- and a Libra, like you) I can assure you that my Peaceful disposition has been tested many, many times... Fighting with plastic wrap required Judo lessons, Wax paper-- which seems to burst into flames and melt when it touches anything above room temperature has been a source for many insane nightmares... Karen, You must not yank as hard as I do. I have stood there with the whole roll on the gound and me holding onto the plastic, and you know you can't roll that stuff back up onto the roll.
And I must say if I pushed those little circles I wouldn't open the box.
So maybe you don't have the circles I am referring to?
They are at each END of the box.

Oh Cindy...
You are a hoot! We must get different brands of tin foil because mine has no little half circles... unless you mean to open the box? You press on the two circles and the box pops open - then there's a little tab at the start of the roll. I've not had the whole roll come out though...
