The Delete Button Is My Friend
The delete button is one of the best tools on any site. It can erase all those not so nice thoughts that have bounced out of your head and onto the computer screen. But, you have to be able to utilize this tool.
I almost published a post today, because I was upset over the way I perceived a situation. I could of blasted it out into cyberspace...but it wouldn't of accomplished much. I am glad that I was able to step back....look at the situation again and click the old faithful delete button.
Some feel it's okay to spout off about everything and everyone. I don't think this is the best method. Sure, I am a firm believer of standing your ground and standing tall for your beliefs. But, sometimes a private message or a phone call carries much more weight than a free for all gripe session. And it is certainly better for the people involved or the situation itself. The people that you may have an issue with, will feel better that the situation was taken care of in private....and if its a situation, it will be dealt with better under a civil tone...and the griper wins too...because he doesn't look like a ranting fool.
So be sure to get to know your friendly delete button :)

Candice,
I think many of us have been guilty of doing this. And I sure agree with you, about it feeling good to just get it out of your system sometimes...lol

Great advise, so many people don't think before acting,
including myself sometimes. Sometimes writing can
get it out of your system as long as you dont forget to
hit the delete button. lol

The thing about communication is that you need to deliver your message in a way that will be received in the way you intend. In the case of communicating with my child's teacher, I was angry over a lack of communication - sending the angry message would only have further complicated the situation, which i

heh, I love the delete button for this very reason!
There are nicer ways to say things without completely offending someone in PUBLIC no less, thus drawing attention to your siggy and sadly, showing your business in a negative light.
Great advice Lynn!! :-)

Jen,
Thank you...but nothing is wrong :) It just made me think it would be good to pass this along. This was meant as more of a personal observation than anything else. The advice could be used by anyone.

Yeah the delete button can be very user friendly! I have used a time or two. Also have received some that the person should of. But hey we are all adults! I definitely get over it...because I know not every one has the same views..I just like to see it as a debate! Good luck! Hope things go better!
