Yes a business can be a victim of identity theft too!  And most of us have seen it more than once.  How many times have you gotten an e-mail from a bank asking you to verify your account when you don't have an account with them?  I have gotten them from almost every bank out there BoA, Wells Fargo, Chase; it's called 'Spoofing' and it is a form of identity theft focusing on business.
If you have a business you need to be aware that your business can be at just as much risk as you are! And the thieves use a host of tactics.  Some of the more common tactics include misdirection of mail, using a PO Box to have mail meant for your business delivered to them.
Domain name similarity is often using in Shopping scams for example www.xyzcompany.com gets changed to www.xyzco.com.  Most people will not notice a little variation.
Takeover/establish business credit accounts using your company name and EIN.
Hacking into company websites.
If you have a business especially under a DBA or other name keep an eye out.  Identity thieves may not be targeting your personal information, they might be after your business information!
