I have been trying to promote my website through several different community and business websites and have been having a rough go of it.

I could use some good advise that can help me achieve my goals.

I am not selling any products, just providing a place for people to sell their own products, and even though i have made it very cost effective for them to do so, I think there is a trust thing that is going on, and I have no idea how to make people more comfortable and feel "SAFE".

Maybe someone can help me here!

I'm not sure what protections you have in place but people are looking for secure sites. What safeguards do you have on your site and what do you have on your site to show that it is secure?

Look into working with a reputable company like Comodo Group to certify your site with a trusted security seal. You can also explain what steps you take to secure your site like encryption etc. Talk to amn attorney about drawing up a fair Privacy policy TOS and legal statement.

And welcome to the group.

Thanks I am glad to come to the group.
As for the security, how much do i have to have if all transactions will be handled thru paypal. There is no information stored on my website except for information that all buyers and sellers can see of each other already. There is nothing on the site that is private.
I already have a privacy policy and legal statement. My site is secured from the back end by my server provider so that the script cant be accessed. So it is my belief that the site is secure as it gets.

I'll be blunt, your website could use some work. It just doesn't give me the feeling of a professional product. You could also take more advantage of the resources here on ApSense with some Rev Pages and such. Then run a few campaigns to draw attention to them.

Constructive criticizm is what i need right now OLDBUDDY.
Whatever it takes.
The Script that i purchased for the website is modifiable by the company i bought it from.
What does it need to make it more professional?
I was looking for the old eBay feel, but apparently that is not good enough anymore but i dont know what to change. It is simplicity at its best i guess u could say.
Sometimes changing colors of the website can change the feel of the website. The website looks more professional also when it actually has content and pictures of content on the home page. But i think that you are actually talking about "something else" I am presuming.

The first thing I would work on is an attractive header graphic that lets people know what the website is all about and draws them in. What you have now looks like it's just pasted together and give me no clue what RillaBay is all about or why I should even care. If you can't do it yourself, you might be able to get one done on Fiverr.com for five bucks and it would be worth doing.

Got a guy working on a new banner, and have even started my own gig on Fiverr.com. Thanks for the heads up.

Don't get free advice because what is free is usually worthless. A better thing to do is pay for coaching or mentoring by, or join, someone who has greatly succeeded in the business you wish to develop.

Ah yes pay a 'coach' or mentor who has never once run a business for advice? I see a lot of that, and 99% of what they tell you, you find find out for free through investing a bit of your time.

Good advice is not always paid for and not paying money does not necessarily mean free. you time is money so when you make the effort to learn you are not getting anything free. I've seen too many 'coaching programs come and go over the years run by people who could not coach their way out of a wet paper bag.

RillaBay you get the information where ever you can find it, then take what works for you and toss the rest.

This Fiverr.com website that OldBuddy told me about is going to be a goldmine for me. I already have a youtube video made for my website, and have a guy working on a more professional looking header for my website. Thanks OldBuddy.
Here is a link to the youtube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GpSPaBz7mpA, all this stuff on fiverr is only $5.00.
